The Shemagh (also known as a Keffiyeh, Arab Scarf or Military Scrarf) is originally from the middle east and is used as a headdress by Arabs, Jews, Curds & various military forces around the world. A Shemagh scarf is made from a natural material – usually 100% cotton – and will offer protection from the hot sun, sand, dust, mosquitoes and other biting insects.
